President Botstein, playing principal, takes the idiot who wrote the email to school:
I cannot comment on what my colleagues may or may not have said to you regarding the student election that concerns you. I can, however, as President of the College, state unequivocally the position of the college. The college has no stake or interest in, or partisan or procedural position regarding the validity of the election. It has no desire or intention to intervene in any way. The college, from the start, has kept its distance and maintains a position of strict neutrality. The student body is free to pursue any course it wishes.
Sometimes I hate how little he seems to care; this morning, it is a comfort.
